NKG2020 transformation: An updated transformation between dynamic and static reference frames in the Nordic and Baltic countries

Abstract Coordinates in global reference frames are becoming more and common positioning whereas most of the geospatial data stored registries national frames. It is therefore essential to know relation between coordinates, i.e., transformation, as accurately possible. Officially provided pan-European transformations do not account for special conditions Nordic Baltic countries, namely crustal deformations caused by Glacial Isostatic Adjustment. Therefore, they fulfill demands accurate applications like long-term frame maintenance. Consequently, Geodetic Commission (NKG) has developed customized from ITRF ETRS89 realizations countries. We present latest update, called NKG2020 with several improvements uncertainty estimates. also discuss its significance practical implementation geodetic communities.
